so as usual when there is a Minecraft update the server goes pretty quiet until the server can be updated which still isn't quite here yet (blame Bukkit). But luckily for us Shang has found something awesome that can atleast inject some excitement into the pre-update boredom and may even stay as the future of the server.
So enough bad, slightly cryptic crap, what Shang found was Tekkit. This is a server side version of the latest Technic Pack that is built to run along side regular Bukkit. What this adds is an epic-crap-tonne (internet metric) of awesome features (Nuclear Reactors anyone?). Unfortunately this of course requires a modded client to go with the server but one of the best things about Tekkit is that it uses the Technic Launcher which will auto-mod your client with the mods Tekkit needs.
In short what i am proposing today is that we take a vote on whether or not to have a trial run for a little bit and see what it is like, if that doesn't work out (based on feedback) the files will be restored to how they were before Tekkit was installed and if it does then we may stick with it, it's all up to you. You have until Wednesday at 12PM (Lunch Time) GMT to vote at which point i will or will not try to get it setup based on the result.

| Quite the landslide poll. Backing up the current files will take some time but Tekkit should be installed soon. |
